Executive Summary: Concrete steel reinforcement inspection involves the evaluation of embedded steel (rebar or mesh) used to strengthen concrete structures. The inspection ensures that the reinforcement is correctly placed, adequately spaced, properly tied, and free from defects such as corrosion or contamination. Key aspects include verifying compliance with design drawings, checking bar sizes and positions, ensuring proper cover (distance from concrete surface), and confirming secure anchorage. This process is crucial for structural integrity, safety, and long-term durability of concrete elements in buildings, bridges, and other infrastructure.
