TXDOT Upcoming Projects   Presented by   Martin Rodin, P.E. Division Director, Professional Engineering Procurement Texas Department of Transportation

Rodin began his TxDOT career in 1985 as an engineering assistant in the Dallas District Bridge Design Group. In 1987, he transferred to the Amarillo District, becoming District Bridge Engineer in 1989, District Design Engineer in 1990, and Director of Transportation, Planning and Development in 1994.

Rodin moved into engineering consulting in 1997 with the opening of an office for TSC Engineering in Amarillo. Since then, he has served as transportation director for multiple Texas firms, including LopezGarcia Group, URS, and CobbFendley. Rodin has extensive experience managing civil engineering and transportation programs and has completed plans, specifications and estimates (PS&E) for more than 200 TxDOT projects.

Rodin has received peer recognition with awards such as TxDOT-Associate General Contractors of Texas—Excellence in Transportation Design; Young Engineer of the Year through the Texas Society of Professional Engineers; Amarillo ISD Volunteer of the Year; and chairman of the Texas Tech Academy of Civil, Environmental and Construction Engineers.

Rodin holds a master's degree in business administration from West Texas A&M University and a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from Texas Tech University.
